"Arthur~" you sang sweetly, "Where are you~?" From somewhere in the big house you shared with your boyfriend came a distant "here". You tracked down the voice, video camera in hand, until you reached the family room, where you found the Brit sitting in his favorite chair with a book.
The bushy-browed blond looked up and smiled. "What do you need, love?"
"Weeelll~” you began, "I found this game on my computer and it's really cool. As it turns out, some people on YouTube requested that I have you play it. So..." You batted your eyelashes at him. "Please?"
Arthur frowned and studied you suspiciously. "What game is it?"
You giggled. "I can't tell you, silly! That would ruin the surprise~!" You could tell that the Brit's curiosity was growing.
Finally he sighed. "Fine. I'll play it." You cheered and hurried off to get your laptop...but not before turning the camera, pointing it at your face and winking.
.:~/TimeSkip\~:.
The two of you were sitting in the living room together. Arthur was sitting on the floor while you were on the couch behind him, both of you staring at the laptop that was sitting on the coffee table. The title screen was going t come up any moment.
"_____," Arthur said, looking over his shoulder at you. "What is the game called?"
You swatted his arm to make him turn around. "Watch the screen, Artie! You'll see!" The Brit was mumbling about how his name was Arthur, not Artie when the title screen popped up. Arthur froze and blanched, sending you into a fit of giggles.
SLENDER: THE EIGHT PAGES
"_____!" Arthur yelled. "I am not playing this!" He began to stand up, only to have you push him back down.
"Please, Arthur?" you pleaded, giving him your best puppy eyes. Your boyfriend sighed, turning back to the screen. After a moment's hesitation, he started a new game and began playing.
The game started out in the forest at night, a flashlight as the character's only possession. With a bit of instruction from you, Arthur began searching for the pages.
"Oh, there's one," he murmured, noticing the paper on a tree. He directed the character over to the tree. You peered over his shoulder and shivered at the drawing of the Slenderman. Arthur collected the paper and was about to walk away when...
Thrum.
The Brit jumped a bit, surprised by the sound. "Wh-Wha-" he sputtered.
Thrum.
"Go," you ordered, "keep moving."
Thrum.
You pulled your knees closer to your chest as adrenaline began to flow through your veins. "Just...watch your back."
Thrum.
"Got it." Arthur continued through the forest, swinging the flashlight back every few seconds so he could see what was behind him. You had both tuned out the light thrum by the time the second page was found on the side of a truck. But when Arthur turned around...
...there was the Slenderman.
"BLOODY HELL!!!" Arthur screamed, flailing and almost falling over. "You began laughing hysterically as the screen began to fuzz.
"Run!" you urged. "Hurry, you can keep going!" Your boyfriend seized the controls and hurried away as fast as he could.
Thrum.
"_____, it's getting louder!" Arthur's eyes looked like they were going to pop out of their sockets.
Thrum.
"I know! Keep going!" you cried. By now you had curled up into a shivering ball on the couch, (e/c) eyes glued to the screen.
Thrum.
Arthur finally relaxed a bit when he reached a clearing with a building in it. "Maybe we can hide in there!" Before you could disagree, Arthur had rushed into the building.
Thrum.
As soon as Arthur walked into the door, there was the Slenderman, standing right in front of one of the pages. "GAAAHH!!!!" Arthur shrieked, hurrying away. After running around the clearing a few times in a serpentine pattern, he returned to the building and picked up the page.
THRUM.
"Ack! It's getting louder!" Arthur shouted, almost in tears.
THRUM.
"GO LEFT! GO LEFT!" you screeched.
THRUM.
Arthur spun the character right by accident...and crashed straight into the Slenderman, effectively both ending the game and causing the two of you to leap behind the couch for protection. You waited until your laptop quit the game and shut down on its own before creeping back out.
"W-well..." you stuttered.
"Sims 3?” Arthur asked, almost begging. You nodded and the two of you spent the next seven hours wasting away on the people simulator.

You looked up and saw a silhouette, but a flickering ceiling light blurred your vision, you got to your feet. Nobody there.
You swirled around. Something had touched your hand; somebody had to be here…
“H-Hello? Ghosts? Monsters? Creepy library murderer…” You stepped back and hit something… It said ‘Ow.’
You froze, and turned around… The next thing you saw was red. A red maple leaf, on a jacket. The jacket of the guy you were now awkwardly hugging.
You jumped back, your face redder than his jacket, you stuttered a bit.
“Uh… I-I’m sorry… I didn’t s-see yo
